Perfectly plumped, natural-looking lips

Lip enhancement is a non-surgical solution to combat common issues including lip thinning, narrowing or less-defined lips. Our lip filler injections, which involve the precise, controlled administration of hyaluronic acid solution into the lips, are one of the most popular procedures available at Aesthetic Ace Clinic. The result is natural-looking lips that are plumped to perfection. At Aesthetic Ace Clinic we are  committed to use only the best and the safest lip fillers available to provide our clients with an exceptional, safe treatment, and exquisite results. All of our products are CE marked (to show they meet the applicable EC directives) and have been personally tried and tested.

The lip filler treatment is suitable for anyone who would like fuller lips. The safe, efficient procedure can replace the volume and definition that the ageing process has taken away. It can also be used to correct the symmetry of the lips, creating a balance between the upper and lower lip.

Dr Noor will assess your natural lip shape and decide if the lips’ symmetry needs evening out and if one lip might need more product than the other. After applying a topical anaesthetic, she will inject the hyaluronic acid dermal filler in a series of small injections all around the lip lines. The treatment usually takes between 15 to 30 minutes.

There is normally little to no pain beyond the feeling of pressure and a slight pinch. There is no downtime either and you can return to your normal activities straight after the treatment. One thing to note, it is important to avoid dental work for 2 weeks prior and after your lip enhancement treatment.

There may be some swelling or bruising for up to 72 hours after the procedure. The swelling can be treated by gently holding an ice pack to the lip area for short periods of time and should largely reduce by the second day. The bruising can be easily covered with concealer and/or lipstick.

Though extremely rare, there are a few more serious side effects that can occur and might require medical attention. These include:

  • excessive peeling

  • signs of infection (itching and redness around the lips)

  • severe swelling and/or severe bruising that doesn’t get better after a couple of days

  • any rash in or around your lips following your procedure

If you are prone to getting cold sores, make sure to let Dr Noor know during the consultation appointment to discuss preventative methods and medications, as the lip filler treatment can sometimes trigger a cold-sore flare.

Finally, lip fillers are not suitable for anyone with severe allergies, and you should avoid dermal fillers of any kind if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Results are instant but will complete in two weeks once the filler will be completely integrated into the skin. Patients should also avoid lying on their side for a couple of days and try not to kiss or touch their lips too much for at least 2 weeks afterwards. It is important to keep in mind that achieving the look you want does not necessarily happen overnight. For example, if you have very thin lips it can take a few sessions to achieve a very full but natural look.

Fillers can last anything from 8 to 12 months, but the exact duration varies from person to person based on various factors, such as the individual’s metabolism and lifestyle. On average most people need top-ups every 6 to 8 months to keep up the desired size and shape.
