How long does it take to achieve results? Results vary from client to client and are dependent on their skin concerns and goals. Most clients will see improvements within the first few weeks. Your skin will complete two cellular turnover cycles during the 12 week system, and most clients will see improvements within 6 weeks. Treatments are delivered in 6 to 12 week cycles and you can expect your skin to react in different ways. Optional Obagi Blue Peel treatments can be delivered too. Each cycle is meant to encourage the production of healthy and normal skin cells for a faster cellular turnover. Additionally, each cycle increases the production of collagen and elastin within the skin.
Aftercare and Recovery Obagi Nu-Derm results are typically classified into four phases. During the first phase (which last six weeks) your top skin layer will be replaced by new cells. During this time, you may experience flaking, redness, peeling and dry skin. During phase two, collagen and elastin levels will increase, meaning wrinkles will look faded. The skin will begin to lighten, and redness and flaking will dissipate. During phase three, you’ll notice a hydrated and even skin tone that's firm to the touch, The fourth phase is the maintenance phase, which will help you prevent future damage and preserve your fantastic results.
