POLYNUCLEOTIDES

Regenerate, Rebuild, Refresh

WHAT IS POLYNUCLEOTIDES?

A recent advancement in anti-aging injections is the use of polynucleotides, which stimulate skin regeneration and restoration from the inside out. They are a versatile treatment that can be used to prevent premature aging of the skin as well as rejuvenate aged skin.

DNA and RNA molecules are composed of long chains of nucleotides called polynucleotides (polydeoxyribonucleotides). Since they are derived from fish DNA fragments, which share similarities to human DNA, they possess the capacity to act as a biostimulator, initiating skin regeneration. Because of their antioxidant characteristics, they not only have anti-inflammatory effects but also promote the creation of collagen, which makes the skin thicker and healthier.

POLYNUCLEOTIDES CAN BE USED FOR

  • revitalizing treatment for mature skin to address fine lines and wrinkles

  • hydration boost for dull skin at any age

  • Strengthening fragile skin zones, especially near the eyes and mouth

  • Addressing hyperpigmentation, sun damage, scars, stretch marks, and acne

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF POLYNUCLEOTIDES?

  • encouraging the production of elastin and collagen

  • decreasing the visibility of sagging skin and wrinkles

  • minimal downtime in comparison to other injectables

  • Minimising inflammation, replenishing skin volume, and restoring hydration.

WHEN DO YOU SEE THE RESULTS OF POLYNUCLEOTIDES, AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?

Patients will begin to notice results quite soon after the initial session, but the second session jumpstarts the remodelling process. The product continues its effects for the first 12 weeks, progressively improving over time. However, patients will experience an early improvement and lift after the first session.

Typically, the effects of polynucleotide treatments last for approximately six months before requiring a maintenance session.

ARE POLYNUCLEOTIDES AND DERMAL FILLERS THE SAME?

Although both dermal fillers and polynucleotide treatments are both injected into the skin, they are actually very different.

Dermal fillers are typically formulated with a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, which provides immediately visible results in the form of added contour, structure, volume and definition in the treatment area.

Conversely, while some polynucleotide treatments will provide a noticeable lift in the structure of the skin after just a few minutes, this type of treatment works to improve the quality of the skin, which means that you will continue to see improved results develop over a period of time.

CAN POLYNUCLEOTIDES AND DERMAL FILLERS WORK TOGETHER?

Yes, both treatments can be used in conjunction with one another as part of a holistic skin treatment plan. Dermal fillers will provide instant results, while the polynucleotides get to work to provide long-lasting results that continue to improve over time.

FAQs

What is polynucleotide treatment? Polynucleotide treatment involves injecting natural polynucleotides into the skin to improve its appearance and health. These treatments are mainly used for skin rejuvenation, hydration, and repair.

How do polynucleotide injections work? Polynucleotides help to repair damaged skin cells, improve hydration, and promote collagen production. By enhancing skin regeneration and reducing inflammation, they help improve skin texture and elasticity.

What are the benefits of polynucleotide injections? Polynucleotide injections can: Improve skin hydration, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, boost skin elasticity and firmness, promote healing and repair damaged skin and reduce inflammation and redness

Are polynucleotide injections safe? Yes, polynucleotide treatments are generally considered safe. Polynucleotides are derived from natural sources (like salmon DNA) and are biocompatible, meaning the body easily accepts them.

How long do the effects of polynucleotide injections last? The effects usually last several months, but the duration can vary depending on the individual’s skin condition and the area treated. Regular sessions are often recommended for maintaining results.

Is there any downtime after the treatment? Most people can resume normal activities right after the treatment. Some might experience slight swelling or redness at the injection sites, but this typically subsides within a few hours to days.

Are there any side effects? Side effects are usually minimal, including temporary redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site. More serious side effects are rare.

Can polynucleotide injections be combined with other treatments? Yes, polynucleotide injections can often be combined with other skin treatments like fillers, laser therapy, or micro needling for enhanced results. Always consult with a professional before combining treatments.

Is polynucleotide a filler? Unlike fillers, polynucleotides do not contain hyaluronic acid. They are made up of biopolymers such as DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) and RNA (ribonucleic acid).
